Hi, all! My name is Yue Guan. I am an associate professor in the Department of Global Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark. My research focuses on (1) Chinese politics and society, (2) public opinion and political participation in authoritarian regimes, and (3) everyday governance in (post-)communist contexts. I can be reached at yue.guan@cas.au.dk.

I received a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Nanjing University and a Ph.D. in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I also held visiting positions at the East Asian Institute of the National University of Singapore and the Harvard–Yenching Institute. From 2018 to 2021, I was a university assistant (postdoc) in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Vienna.
